Abstract

1465196 Levelling NIPPON STEEL CORP 4 April 1974 [4 April 1973] 14924/74 Heading B3E A roller leveller comprises two rows of rollers defining a path therebetween, the rollers of one row being power driven and the rollers of the other row being idlers and mounted for adjustment towards and away from the one row, and the upstream roller of the one row is mounted for adjustment towards and away from the other row. By suitable adjustment of that roller, lack of straightness in the trailing end of a section passed through the leveller may be reduced. Preferably there is one more power driven roller than idler roller, and the pitch of the rollers is adjustable.
