1464160 Rapid hardening cement ASSOCIATED PORTLAND CEMENT MFRS Ltd 11 June 1975 [14 June 1974] 26474/74 Heading C1H An ultra-rapid hardening gypsum-free cement comprises gypsum-free Portland cement ground to 3000 to 7000 cm.<SP>2</SP>/g. and a minor proportion by weight based on the cement of at least one acid salt, other than a phosphorus compound, of a base selected from the alkali metals, ammonium and organic bases (e.g. amine). The acid salt may be selected from the bicarbonates, bisulphates, and bisulphites of sodium, potassium and ammonium and mixtures thereof. A retarding agent (other than gypsum) may also be incorporated, e.g. hydroxy carboxylic acids and calcium lignosulphonates.
