Abstract

1463984 Vacuum flask cups THERMOS Ltd 3 Jan 1975 [17 Dec 1973] 58316/73 Heading A4A [Also in Division F4] A cup 1 on a vacuum flask comprises a circular base portion 2 and a peripheral wall 3 upstanding from the base portion and is characterized in that the wall has an internal protuberance 7 for retaining the cup on the vacuum flask, the protuberance being located at least as far from the rim 6 of the cup as from its base but spaced from the base. The protuberance may be an internal screw thread or it may be part of a bayonet fitting. There may be a shoulder 4 adjacent to the protuberance on the side remote from the base so that the portion 5 of the wall on that side of the shoulder has a larger diameter than that of the portion extending between the shoulder and the base. Each of the portions of the wall may be substantially frusto-conical in shape diverging towards the mouth 6 of the cup. The cup may be used in conjunction with the conventional vacuum flask (9) to warm the contents of a baby feed bottle (17) by immersing the bottle in hot water in the cup provided from the vacuum flask.
