Abstract

1463221 Conveyer systems H A BAKKEREN 27 Jan 1975 [13 Feb 1974] 3450/75 Heading B8A Stacks of publications in containers 13 as described in Specification 1,459,536, are conveyed to strapping machines 7, 8 and 9, by a system of intersecting conveyers 4. At each position 5 of intersection, the containers may be diverted by an electronic control system (not described in detail in the specification). The strapping machines are able to strap the stacks without the latter being removed from the containers. The stacks are transmitted on a further conveyer line 11, and the empty containers are returned along a route 12. The conveyers may work on the linear motor principle.
