Abstract

1462176 Valves FORDHAM PRESSINGS Ltd 20 June 1974 [27 July 1973] 35835/73 Heading F2V A float-actuated valve is provided with a diaphragm 19 having a central solid portion 35 for engaging a seat 31 when a plunger 15 is actuated, an intermediate corrugated portion 36 with one or more holes 39 which allow fluid to flow to the rear of the diaphragm to reduce whistling during operation of the valve, and a peripheral portion 37 clamped to the body of the valve by a clamp 20. A pair of lugs 17 are provided on the body for the attachment of a float arm.
