Abstract

1461590 Optical playback THOMSON CSF 20 Dec 1973 [26 Dec 1972] 59042/73 Addition to 1451799 Heading G5R The optical playback arrangement of the parent Specification 1,451,799 is modified by the provision of four photocells 100, 101, 110 and 111 in the light detecting means. The cells are disposed about the axis 0Z of the reading light beam with two cells 100 and 101 disposed in line with a radius of the record disc and used as described in the parent case for positioning the light beam correctly and the other two cells 110 and 111 disposed in a line perpendicular to the radius and connected to a differential amplifier 112 supplying the output signal U(t).
