Abstract
1460531 Shedding and beat-up device W B PINK 7 April 1975 [9 Jan 1974] 01072/74 Heading D1E A combined warp shedding and beat-up device comprises a plurality of polyonal plates 1 having beat-up edges 16 and shedding members 3 therebetween each having an arcuate warp engaging surface 4 the centre of which lies on a radius of circle 7 through said centre and which bisects the surface 4. The plates 1 may be keyed to shaft 2 and the shedding member 4 has projections 11 which engage in holes 9 of adjacent plates and a hole which surrounds shaft 2. The member can be moved manually to produce shedding by rotation and beat-up by warpwise movement. Several embodiments are described each having different arrangements of multiple-armed shedding members. In Fig. 12 an injection moulded shedding device is provided wherein the central shaft 2 is omitted and suitable stub shafts are provided only at the ends.
