Abstract

1460097 Burning liquid waste OPYTNOKONSTRUKTOR BJURO ENERGOTEKHNOLOGICHESKIKH PROTSESSOV KHIMICHE PROMYSHLENNOSTI and SCHEKIN KHIMICHE KOMBINAT 3 Sept 1974 38360/74 Heading F4B A cyclone reactor for the incineration of waste water containing organic and mineral and refractory impurities has tangentially arranged burners 2 for feeding fuel and air into the top lined portion of the chamber 1 and upper nozzles 3 and lower nozzles 4 for injecting the waste water. The upper nozzles 3 are arranged radially and inject waste water containing organic impurities and mineral impurities which fuse at the furnace temperature. The lower nozzles are arranged at an angle α (Fig. 4), and inject waste water containing organic impurities and non- fusible refractory impurities, the arrangement being such that the mineral impurities form a flowing film of melt on the furnace wall and the refractory impurities are entrained as particles in the melt and are removed with it. Products of combustion are discharged to the duct 7 through an opening 6 in the base 5 and the melt of fusible mineral impurities with entrained refractory impurities is discharged through a tap 8.
