Abstract

1459662 Reinforcement spacers F W BERRY 19 March 1975 [17 April 1974] 16863/74 Heading E1W A spacer of the type moulded from synthetic plastics material and comprising an open framework including a support frame 1 moulded integrally with a reinforcement locating frame 2, provided with an opening 3 and at least one closure element 6 which extends at least partly across the opening, wherein the locating frame 2 defines a channel 3 open at its ends and has integral resilient members 7 at the ends of the channel 3 which partially bridge the channel and engage a reinforcement when inserted into the channel. In a modification, Fig. 4 (not shown), the support frame extends substantially entirely around the locating frame, and is provided with a passage for the insertion of the reinforcement.
