Abstract
1459312 Making electrical coils DAINIPPON PRINTING CO Ltd 4 Jan 1974 [13 Jan 1973 22 Jan 1973 1 Feb 1973 9 March 1973] 00445/74 Heading B3A [Also in Division H2] A coil for an electric motor is constructed by arranging a number of parallel conductors 33 1 - 33 4 between two belt-shaped flexible insulating sheets 31, 32 to form a coil member 34, folding the coil member 34 in such a way that the conductors form a regular lattice structure, e.g. as in Fig. 2, winding the folded coil member into a coil of spiral form, as in Fig. 3, and connecting the ends of the conductors together to make a series connection between the conductors. In the arrangement shown, the end 33 1a is connected to the end 33 4b , 33 2a is connected to 33 1b , 33 3a to 33 2b , and 33 4a to 33 3b , thereby to form an endless circuit, and in operation in a D.C. motor (not described) the ends 33 1b and 33 2a are used as positive terminals, and 33 3b and 33 4a as negative terminals. Sheets 31, 32 may be of plastics material, and the whole coil may be moulded with insulating material.
