Abstract

1459201 Controlling electrostatic copiers AGFA-GEVAERT AG 12 Nov 1973 [11 Nov 1972] 52318/73 Heading G2H When a single copy of an original is required from an electrostatic copier actuated by switch 9 and turned off by switch 29, key 7 is depressed to operate switch 9 and cause pawl 3 to move against one of the teeth of wheel 2 and move it from one to the next of the positions imposed by engagement of spring-loaded pin 11 with holes 2a. Relative movement is possible between wheel 2 and number bearing knob 12, within limits imposed by engagement of rod 24 with plates 25, 26. As long as rod 24 remains against plate 25, the wheel 2 and knob I rotate together, whether anti-clockwise in consequence of depression of key 7 or clockwise as the results of operation of pneumatic cylinder 22 after the making of a copy. Setting of a greater number than one on knob 12 causes wheel 2 to move one place less than knob 12, as the rod 24 moves against plate 26. The remaining place is made up when the key 7 is depressed to start copying. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1337574.
