Abstract
1458919 Laryngoscopes RICHARD WOLF GmbH 24 Oct 1974 [24 Oct 1973] 46121/74 Heading A5R A laryngoscope comprises a spatula 6 removably mounted on a guide supported on a carrier 2, which itself is connected to a handle 1, an optical system supported in a universally pivotable and lockable guide tube 14 which has a locking device for the optical system, a mouth-gag 12 which can be adjusted in respect of its distance from the spatula guide, and, mounted on the spatula guide, a light conducting fibre 8 and/or a respiration tube (not shown). The reach of the spatula may be adjusted by means of a rack 5 and pinion 7 arrangement. The support 15 for the optical system may be telescopic to allow the distance between this guide and the spatula mounting to be varied, and the light conducting fibre may run along or through the handle to a coupling 9 for connection to a light source.
