1458786 Self loading agricultural vehicle; reciprocating conveyers MASCHINENFABRIKEN BERNARD KRONE GmbH 21 May 1975 [24 May 1974 3 July 1974 12 July 1974 15 July 1974 (2)] 21750/75 Headings B8E and B8A An agricultural vehicle having a chassis 1, side bars 2 and a scraper floor 3 over a deck 4 has a pick up device 5, an intermediate conveyer 14 forward thereof in the direction of travel and a vertical conveyer 30 still further forward feeding to the load space. The pick up has a guide wall 11 extending from it to form a first conveyer duct 12 limited on the other side by strippers 15 co-operative with the drum 13 of the intermediate conveyer from which feed flights 19 extend arranged in pairs spaced lengthwise of the drum so that the tips form a helix along the drum. In the space between the flights 19 of each pair, cutting blades 61 extend to cut the crop as it is fed through the duct 12. The vertical conveyer 30 comprises driven chains 34 having flights 32 extending through guide walls 28, 29 which with an extended portion 24 of the guide wall 11 form a second conveyer duct 25. The flights 32 move faster than the flights and together with an intermediate chamber 45 formed by deflector plates 47 extending from the strippers 15 prevent blockages forming. An alternative vertical conveyer, Fig. 8, comprises push rods 94 mounted on crankshafts 95 and having conveyer elements 93 which have the motion indicated in the duct 25. Other vertical conveyers described are a rotary conveyer with tines and a conveyer rake of conventional form. In other modifications the plates 47 of the chamber 45 may be differently shaped and may be extensions of the guide wall 28. The bases of the flights may be strengthened by connecting webs which with the flights may be welded to the drum 13 or may be detachably secured. In one form pairs of flights 19 may be formed into tool groups securable to the drum with interposed spacers.
