1458041 Biocidal composition IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 23 May 1974 [12 June 1973] 27870/73 Heading A5E A biocidal composition comprises an isothiazolin-3-one of the formula in admixture with a 2-thionotetrahydro-1, 3, 5-thiadiazine of the formula wherein R 1 , R 2 , R 3 , R 4 and R 5 are specified substituents. Typical compounds used are 1, 2- benzisothiazolin-3-one and 2-thiono-3, 5-dimethyltetrahydro-1, 3, 5-thiadiazine. The compositions find application in aqueous media such as water-oil emulsions, paints, adhesives and aqueous systems of paper-mills.
