Abstract

1457551 Structural framing joints J L SAINE 2 Jan 1974 [5 Jan 1973] 00089/74 Heading F2M A joint for frame members such as the surrounds of pictures wherein the frame-members are of channel cross-section and preferably mitred comprises a connecting element 6 having two branches 6a, 6b at right angles to one another, one branch 6b being adapted to be fixed within one of the frame members and the other branch 6a having a tenon 7 intended to engage with a resilient clamp 8 fixed to a block 8b engaged in the other frame member, see also Figs. 2-5 (not shown). The frame members are made of metal or plastics and the members 6, 8b are retained therein as by tongues engaging notches such as 6c, 8c. For minor modifications involving different arrangements of clamps and tenons, the Specification and remaining drawings (not shown) should be referred to.
