Abstract

1457313 Lace fastening C A DELARBRE 27 March 1974 13536/74 Heading A3H A device for fastening laces c or cords or draw strings of clothing or footwear comprises a first plate member h having three apertures 1, 2, 3 and a second plate member b having two apertures 7, 8. One lace end passes through corresponding aperture 7 then through aperture 1 back through 2 and out through 3. The other lace end similarly passes through apertures 8, 3, 2 and 1. Toggles g are provided on the ends of the laces and pulling these toggles g results in tightening the laces which frictionally engage the plates h and b holding them together. Further apertures 4, 5 and 6 may be provided in first plate h so that the lace ends can pass loosely through their respective aperture 4 or 6 to form a loop and out through aperture 5 in order to simulate a bow. Restraining notches 9, 10 are provided in correspondence with the apertures 4 and 6.
