1456960 Blending particulate materials CLAUDIUS PETERS AG 28 July 1975 [29 July 1974] 31583/75 Addition to 1386012 Heading B1C An improvement in the method of blending bulk materials claimed in any of claims 7 to 9 of Specification 1386012 comprises preferentially assisting entry into the blending chamber of material from the outer, more remote regions of the silo by aerating this material more intensely on entry into the blending chamber than material from regions closer to the blending chamber. This effect may be achieved by changing over from sector to sector the aeration of the inner regions at a rate different from the quadrantto quadrant-change over rate of the blending chamber, with outer regions always connected to a more intensely aerated quadrant and changing over at the same rate as the quadrants. Alternatively the inner regions may always be connected to a less intensely aerated quadrant, with synchronous change-over. Aeration of the inner region sectors may additionally be cyclically interrupted.
