1453980 Electric couplings LUCAS ELECTRICAL Ltd 15 Feb 1974 [16 March 1973] 12866/73 Heading H2E An electrical apparatus comprises a body 11 with a pair of abutments 17, 18 defining between them a wedge shaped gap 19 in which a region of a panel is received to mount the body on the panel, one of the abutments 18 having an electrical terminal with a projection 21 that bites. into the panel to provide a good electrical connection to a conductive region of the panel. As shown, a switch comprises a moulded hollow housing 12 (e.g. synthetic resin), closed by a base 13, and by a metal cover plate 14, the inner surface of which forms the fixed switch contact, and an operating plunger 16, the movable switch contact being connected to an external terminal 15. Another abutment 17a may be provided diametrically opposite 17, together with a second projection 21 adjacent 17a.
