Abstract

1453002 Resistance heating elements TEKTRONIX Inc 30 May 1974 [30 July 1973] 23968/74 Heading H5H A "thermal printing head" for use with thermally sensitive paper has on one face of a low thermal conductivity substrate 10 both a common electrically conductive member 12 and a plurality of other conductive members 16 which are in electrical contact with resistive members 14 which also contact the common member 12, have a flat surface remote from the substrate 10 and are twice as thick as the members 12, 16. The other face of the substrate 10 may be provided with an aluminium heat sink 18. Gaps 20 between the members 14 may be produced by laser cutting or the resistive members 14a (Fig. 5) may be interconnected at narrow neck sections 24.
