Abstract

1452940 Dental chairs SIEMENS AG 22 Oct 1973 [21 Oct 1972 3 Sept 1973] 49115/73 Heading A4J In a dentists' chair in which the seat 5, and backrest 4 are readily adjustable through power means controlled from a position on the chair, two sets of the control members are provided built into the one self contained box 3 which also forms a supporting structure for the seat. One set of control members comprises dials 28, 29, 30 and are used to programme the movement of the chair members 5 and 4 to pre-selected positions. The other set of control members respond to the movement of the backrest and seat and actuate means whereby the power means move the backrest and seat until they arrive at any particular position pre-selected by actuation of the dials 28, 29 and 30. The chair members are electrically powered and the control members comprise rheostats which ultimately control the electric motor.
