Abstract

1452665 Open-end spinning frames SCHUBERT & SALZER MASCHINENFABRIK AG 7 June 1974 [9 June 1973] 25446/74 Heading DID In an open-end spinning apparatus with a plurality of adjacent spinning devices a common drive casing 2 and a ventilating duct 17 are arranged superjacently with a common imperforate bulkhead 18 between them so@as to prevent the entrance of air currents into the drive casing. The ventilation duct serves to extract air from the spinning rotors 1 through ports 15. Fins 19, 19' are provided on the drive casing side of bulkhead 18 to increase heat transfer and hence cooling. A further lower ventilation duct may be provided to remove waste material separated at the spinning stations.
