1452072 Loading cases T P HARTNESS and R G HARTNESS 1 Oct 1973 45794/73 Heading B8C In apparatus for loading articles into cases in which the articles fall through passages in a grid comprised of longitudinal members and transverse members 17, the lower ends of rigid fingers F extend into the centre of each passage and are pivoted out of the way by articles dropping through. The fingers are mounted on discs 33 with circular springs 28 urging the tops of the fingers into the corners of the passages. The lower ends of the fingers may carry angle members to open fully cartons disposed in the cases which are raised for the fingers to extend thereinto.
