Abstract

1451827 Carrier strips ELCO CORP 2 April 1974 14577/74 Heading B8C [Also in Division H2] A carrier strip, for terminal pins 28 or like elongated articles, comprises a plastics strip 10 of U-shaped cross-section having aligned pin receiving slots 18 interspersed with relief slots 26 designed to give the strip flexibility. Each slot 18 includes a converging mouth 20, a pin restraining neck portion 22 and a rectangular pin engaging portion 24. The strip is additionally provided with apertures 16 enabling the strip to be indexed in automatic pin mounting devices. The strip may be formed from a polyester strip ("MYLAR"-Registered Trade Mark) 10 mils thick and 7/16 inch wide by stamping followed folding using a heated die. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1,255,618.
