Abstract

1450956 Harvester grain loss control MASCHINENFABRIK FAHR AG GOTTMADINGEN 15 Oct 1973 [20 Oct 1972] 48511/73 Heading A1F [Also in Division G3] Harvesting apparatus capable of measuring output related grain losses comprises at least one transducer which measures grain-mis-directed, at least one transducer which measures collected grain and which operates according to the same measuring principle, a differential amplifier which receives their measurements and a visual read out which indicates if the output related grain loss is above a predetermined acceptable level. As shown two transducers 4, 5 measure misdirected grain from straw shaker 1 and screen 3 whilst transducer 7 measures collected grain. The differential amplifier 15 transmits to a dual scale dial 19 whose scales are calibrated such that a desired grain loss is signified as long as their pointers are aligned. The amplifier may also transmit to a harvester speed control unit 16.
