Abstract

1450017 Soldering DEUTSCHE GOLDUND SILBER-SCHEIDEANSTALT 22 May 1975 [14 June 1974] 22185/75 Heading B3R [Also in Division C7] Shaped flux elements or flux coated solder elements are made by heating at 80-250‹ C. a powder flux mixture containing alkali tetraborate and after cooling the mixture, making it into a paste with water and forming the required element. The flux powder may be a mixture of alkali tetraborate and alkali fluoroborate which is heated for 3-24 hours at 80- 250‹ C. and after cooling is mixed with 10-20% weight of water and then extruded as coatings on rods or rings of solder or into shaped flux elements.
