Abstract

144,947. Willans, G. H., and Luard, E. S. Oct. 24, 1919. Draw-gear.-A draw-bar cradle is formed of side bars 1 the ends of which are formed as shown so as to engage on either side of an end plate 2, the parts being locked in the assembled position by a plate 3 riveted to the member 2 and provided with side lugs 7 which engage between the bars. The bars 1 are V-shaped and are riveted at the bend to a plate 10 which has lateral projections 11 to stiffen the bars and prevent them spreading. The bars may be shaped to engage plates 2 provided at each end of the cradle. Each side of the cradle may be formed of one bar only, the locking plate 3 being modified to hold the bars in position.
