Abstract

1449038 Motor protective arrangements TELDIX GmbH 19 Oct 1973 [19 Oct 1972] 48885/73 Heading H2K A motor protective circuit is arranged to compare the voltage at the terminals of the motor 1 with a predetermined signal on switching on of the motor. To operate the motor a supply is applied to terminals 5 to energize a relay coil or to close contacts 3 whilst applying a signal via a delay element 8 to one terminal of an AND gate 6 which receives a signal at its inverting terminal from the motor terminals and only provides an output signal if the motor is not energized. Gate 6 also provides an output signal on disappearance of the signal at 5 provided that the element 8 is such as to continue its output for its delay time on deenergization. If the relay 3, 4 sticks to remain closed after the voltage at 5 is removed an AND gate 7 will provide an output signal through a timing element 9, signals from gate 6 and element 9 control an OR gate 10 connected to a bi-stable device 11 controlling a relay 12 and lamp 13. The relay 3, 4 may be replaced by a switching transistor.
