Abstract

1448284 Agricultural implement ORTHMAN MFG INC 15 Oct 1973 47964/73 Heading A1B An agricultural implement comprises a tool bar carrying ground working tools and having a hollow main frame 14, and wing sections 16 pivotal between raised and lowered positions by means of hinges 24, each hinge 24 consisting of a pin 36 engaging aligned apertures 34, 48 in ears 32 of the main frame 14 and ears 46 of the wing section 16, respectively, operation of the hinge 24 being by a hydraulic cylinder 50, one end 52 of which is detachably secured to the post 54 in the main frame 14, while the piston is pivotally connected by a pin 66 to an ear 68 of the wing section 16, the ear 68 extending into the main frame when in a lowered position. Lateral movement of the ear 68, when the wing section 16 is in a horizontal position, is limited by being received in the notch 75 in the base of the main frame 14.
