Abstract

Walls; double walls.-In structures of the type in which the slabs are locked together by intermediate blocks or bricks, which are grooved on opposite faces, the blocks A are longer than their widths and are preferably as long as the slabs D, D'. Corner work is provided by blocks E having one set of grooves in their rear faces as shown instead of on their ends. The blocks may be hollow and, as well as the slabs, provided with a rough cast C. To enable partitions to be 'readily set, vertical grooves A<3> may be provided in the rear face of the blocks. The slabs may have ribs D<2>.
