Abstract

1447419 Pressure sensitive adhesive tape ARAKAWA RINSAN KAGAKU KOGYO KK 9 April 1974 [14 April 1973] 15719/74 Heading B2E [Also in Division C3] A pressure-sensitive adhesive tape comprises a sheet-like substrate having a coating of a hot-melt adhesive composition comprising (a) a block copolymer in which one block is a polymer of a conjugated diene and the other block(s) are polymers of vinyl arene monomers, (b) 30 to 300 parts per 100 of (a) of a hydrogenated aromatic petroleum resin prepared by polymerising a cracked petroleum fraction boiling between -10 and 280‹C and containing polymerisable unsaturated hydrocarbons. at least 50% of which are aromatic, and hydrogenating at least 30% of the aromatic rings in the resin and optionally (c) an antoxidant. Examples refer to the melt coating polyester substrates, while paper is also mentioned as a possible substrate.
