Abstract
1447038 Time switches UNITED GAS INDUSTRIES Ltd 7 Sept 1973 [16 Sept 1972] 43031/72 Heading H1N A sequence operating device comprises a rotatable dial 11 having a series of radial tracks 12 around its circumference, a plurality of adjustable operating tappets 14, 14<SP>1</SP>, each being mountable in any of said tracks 12 for sliding movement therealong between a radially-inner operating position (as shown for 14<SP>1</SP>) and a radially-outer non-operating position (as shown for 14), and for each tappet a spring retention device engaging each tappet at each of its said positions to locate said tappet in said positions and resist said sliding movement. As shown, each tappet is carried on a respective arm 20, 20<SP>1</SP>, having a leaf spring 23, 23<SP>1</SP> as said retention device, and each tappet has two notches 18 for coaction therewith. Each tappet has a tooth 16 (16<SP>1</SP>) which engages with a slot 12 when the tappet is moved inwardly such that the tappet is driven round with the dial 11, which is driven by a motor, not shown; each tappet has a depending leg 24, 26 which then engages a respective peg 25, 27 to actuate a switch (not shown).
