Abstract
1446191 Prizing tools BAYERISCHE MOTOREN WERKE AG 17 Aug 1973 [17 Aug 1972] 38954/73 Heading B4C A prizing tool has a hooked end portion which is bent in a curve through an angle of more than 90 degrees, the tip of the hook having one or more cut-out portions defining at least one gripping fimger 9 extending in said curve beyond at least one shoulder 8 for mounting a masking or ornamental cover 11 on a base section 10 of a motor vehicle. The hooked end may be formed with a central shoulder 8 flanked by pair of fingers 9 or alternatively a central finger may be flanked by a pair of shoulders. To mount the cover 11 the finger 9 shown is engaged in a recess 15 and the tool rolled on the base section 10 to cause the shoulder 8 to push the flange 13 of the base section into the recess where it is retained under spring stress. A handle may be received by a tapped hole 3.
