Abstract

1444827 Vehicle roofs W BAIER W BAIER L SCHOBER and E SCHLUMPRECHT 1 Feb 1974 [14 April 1973] 04790/74 Heading B7B A roof, particularly for a vehicle, includes an aperture closable by a panel 3 pivotally mounted about axis 2, the panel having at each side movable shield plates 4 whose downward movement relative to the panel is limited by a stop 7 on a guide 10. The shield plates 4, which may be plastics, are pivoted at 5 to the panel and extend normally thereto. The plates may be urged downwardly by a spring 6; when the panel closes the aperture the plates 4 are lifted upwardly from stop 7 by contact with gutter or drip moulding 8. The panel is arranged so that it may be slid beneath fixed roof portions to open the aperture.
