1444251 Pouches CROFTON Ltd 26 April 1974 [10 May 1973] 22360/73 Heading A4G A pouch, e.g. for an electronic calculator or transistor radio, has a central panel 1 with an aperture 3 for access to a face of the calculator or radio, at least three side pieces, 7, 9, 11, 13 extending from the edges of the central panel, and flaps, e.g. 15, 17, 19 extending one from each of, the three, or at least three of the, side pieces so that on folding the side pieces or flaps about the calculator or radio it is enclosed in the pouch. Means is provided for fastening one of the flaps to retain the calculator or radio, a closure flap 25 is secured to the pouch so as to cover the aperture 3 when desired, and means is provided for fastening the closure flap. As described the pouch comprises two sheets of flexible PVC welded together along the edges and fold lines of the pouch and possibly having a foamed PVC padding between them. The side piece 7 has a flap 19 which covers the back of the calculator or radio and is joined to a further flap 21 which is secured by a fastener 23 to the side piece 13. Alternatively the flap 21 is omitted and a flap provided on side piece 13, or the flap 21 may extend on to the central panel 1 after the pouch has been folded round the calculator or radio. The flap 25 is welded at 29 to the side piece 7 and has a fastener 27. The fasteners may be press-studs or hook and loop pile fabric.
