1443518 Solid milk replacer composition BRITISH PETROLEUM CO Ltd 30 July 1973 [16 Aug 1972] 38201/72 Heading A2B A solid milk replacer composition comprises at least 5% w/w of a dried microorganism powder having maximum average particle size of 70Á, at least 90% of the particles being <100Á. A suitable microorganism powder may be produced from microorganisms for use as feedstuffs and produced by industrial fermentation, by drying a broth fraction containing the microorganisms, e.g. by a spray, flash, or fluidised bed technique. The powder preferably has a maximum iron content of 150 ppm, and may have added to it additional nutrient or fat. The microorganism may be a yeast.
