Abstract
1443163 Rechargeable zinc cells DEUTSCHE AUTOMOBIL GmbH 29 June 1973 [30 June 1972] 31113/73 Heading H1B A rechargeable galvanic cell with a zinc electrode and an aqueous electrolyte has a coarse pored structure, at least partially surrounding, and galvanically separated from, the zinc electrode, and upon which zinc is deposited, the surface of the structure containing as an electrocatalyst, Raney nickel, finely divided platinum, tungsten carbide, titanium-nickel alloy or nickel-boron alloy. The cathode may be an air, or a nickel oxide electrode and a nickel grid may be used as the structure substrate.
