Abstract

1442957 Adjustable furniture feet; separate feet G BAUKNECHT GmbH ELEKTROTECHISCHE FABRIKEN 17 Jan 1975 [29 Jan 1974] 2232/75 Headings A4H and A4U An article of furniture 14 has a base comprising height adjustable feet 1 and strips 24, 31, each foot having an upper plate 10 received in a respective receiving means 15 on the underside of the furniture article, and the strips being detachably clamped to the feet by holding means 25, 33 attached to the strips. Each holding means comprises a fixing part 28, 35 secured to the strip and one or two clamping parts 29, 37, 37' with an endpiece 30, 38, 38' for fitting tightly against the feet, the strips being vertically slideable along the feet. Each receiving means 15 comprises a contact part 17 secured to the furniture article and a C-section rail part 18 open at one side for receiving the - rectangular plate 10 on the upper part 3 of the foot, the plate having ratchet teeth (a, b) on its longitudinal sides. Each foot comprises the upper part 3 which is threaded into a lower part 2. The holding means 25 lie between the changing parts 37, 37' of the holding means 33, and the fixing parts 35 of the holding means 33 have oblong apertures 36 for height adjustment.
