Abstract
1441699 Battery holders VARTA BATTEBIEAG 9 Dec 1974 [10 Dec 1973] 53140/74 Heading H1B A storage battery having a plurality of individual cells 9 is clamped to a tray 4 of a battery receiving means, e.g. in a ship or other vehicle, by means of a clamping band 1 of a synthetic plastics material reinforced with glass fibres, a respective band being provided between each pair of cells and each band having a tubelike end portion 11 above the cells 9 through which a steel pin 3 is passed which is arranged to bear on a cross-member 5 having screw pins 6 located therein which in turn bear or sheet steel presser members 7 located on the covers of the adjacent cells as shown. Clamping of the band to the tray 4 is by means of a further pin 2 located in a similar tube-like portion 12.
