1440823 Centrifugal pumps WORTHINGTON CORP 25 May 1973 [30 May 1972] 05038/76 Divided out of 1440821 Heading F1C An adaptor for coupling a centrifugal pump 80 to a drive motor 88 comprises an inner member 108 which fits into the back of the pump casing and receives a shaft packing 136, 138, 140; and an outer member 106 which fits around the inner member 108 and is sealed to it by an O-ring 114 and is bolted at one end to the pump casing and at the other end to a housing 154. Shaft 120, on which the impeller is mounted is supported in housing 154 by bearings 156, 158. The end of the outer member 106 remote from the casing is supported by a foot 198 which has an arcuate upper part which receives and is bolted to the outer member and a lower part which is inclined at an angle to the axis of the outer part.
