1438161 Cameras ASAHI KOGAKU KOGYO KK 13 June 1973 [19 June 1972] 28155/73 Heading G2A An SLR camera has a knob 7 for selecting manual or automatic shutter control and a linkage 9, 12 which moves shields 16, 16 in front of the viewfinder eye-piece 2 if knob 7 selects "auto close". Thus photos taken without the eye at the eye-piece e.g. in photomicrography can be taken using TTL metering uneffected by light entering the eye-piece.
