Gas cooking-stoves.-The usual grilling-burner of a gas-cooker is replaced by an extra boiling- burner, and a separate griller or griller oven is provided which is either removable, Fig. 2, and when in use stands on the hot-plate or hangs on the side of the stove, or, as shown in Fig. 5, is permanently hinged to the hot-plate, and when out of use folds against the side of the stove. In each form, the gas-supply tap and nipple are mounted on the cooker, the connexion with the burner in the form shown in Fig. 2 being such that, on lifting the griller into place, its burner tube fits at j over the nippled end of a supply pipe leading from one of the taps on the tap rail or over a nippled gas-cock. The griller may be combined with a small oven, and, in the form shown in Fig. 2, would, when used as an oven, be heated by one of the main hot-plate boiling- rings. Further, the griller may be fitted with a boiling-burner and with a two-part hinged top, which, when opened out, forms extensions or hobs providing additional boiling accommodation.
