1433946 Tapping power lines ALCAN RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT Ltd 15 Aug 1974 [15 Aug 1973] 38632/73 Heading H2E A device for tapping a live line comprises a body portion 1, formed as an aluminium extrusion, a jaw portion 8, preferably also an extrusion, and is clamped on a line 3 by a screw 10 operated by a pole (not shown) engaging in ring 12. One or both of the gripping portions may be provided with serrations 5 formed during the extrusion process. A clamp 6 for a tap-off conductor 7 is mounted on the body 1. (For Figure see next column.)
