Abstract

1433792 Moving display apparatus ANALYSIS DESIGNS (WEMBLEY) Ltd 21 May 1974 [21 May 1973 19 Sept 1973] 24114/73 and 44016/73 Heading G5C A display device has a series of cards 10 bearing information for display which are moved in succession in a closed path past a viewing aperture 12a in a casing 12. Each card is secured to separate support rod 14 whose ends rest on an inclined surface 18 defined between plates 20, 22. The lowermost cord is at aperture 12a until removed upwardly and transferred to the rear of the card stack when the ends of rod 14 are engaged by U-shaped recesses 42 in pick-up blocks 40 carried on intermittently moving parallel endless chains 26 on sprockets 28. Blocks 40 are of square form and move in rectangular channels between rails 52, 54 which thereby prevent tilting of the blocks. Each card is removed from the blocks as it descends and engages inclined surface 24 at the rear of the stack. A timer controls the motion of chains 26. A second aperture may be provided at 12b to allow a further viewing of each card.
