Abstract

1432760 Carburetting apparatus PLESSEY CO Ltd 8 Feb 1974 [19 Dec 1972] 58648/72 Addition to 1311879 Heading F1B The fuel injection system of the Specification is modified by the surface 13 surrounding the collector orifice to the fuel return passage 15 being subjected to ultrasonic vibrations for the same periods for which the fuel nozzle 16 is vibrated. The nozzle and orifice may be provided in opposed surfaces 12 and 13 of a slot 11, e.g. having a width of 5 mm, in a vibrator body 4 having an attached Piezo-electric transducer element 3. The bottom of the slot 11 is concave in the longitudinal slot direction. A second transducer element may be attached to the opposite end of the body 4.
