Abstract

1432749 Automobile window regulating mechanism in a door assembly NISSAN MOTOR CO Ltd 24 April 1974 [24 April 1973] 17896/74 Heading E2M An automobile door assembly is provided with a window regulating mechanism in which a conventional actuating mechanism (manual or electrical, not shown) drives a window pane 4 in guide channels 6 provided in the window frame 4, has a guide channel on one side which terminates at 6" at a point short of a door locking mechanism 7 and includes a further guide member 12 on the far side of the locking mechanism to receive the pane when fully lowered. One form of member 12 is shown in Fig. 5 and comprises an outer guide 15, mounting bracket 16 and an inner channel member 14 formed from felt. The embodiment of member 12 shown in Fig. 6 is formed from resilient plastics material. In a further embodiment of the member 12 (Figs. 7-11 not shown) two longitudinal lips closely spaced at their central portions and diverging at their ends are secured to a base only at the ends to allow the pane to be resiliently received between the central portions.
