1432330 A package for sliders for sliding- clasp-fasteners YOSHIDA KOGYO KK 3 Dec 1974 [11 Dec 1973] 52213/74 Heading B8C In a packaging arrangement for a plurality of sliders for sliding clasp fasteners a series of sliders 11 are individually, and removably, mounted in a row upon an elongate support member 10 each slider being adapted for eventual incorporation in a sliding clasp fastener after removal from the support member. As shown in Figs. 1, 2, sliders 11, each comprising a pair of interconnected, and spaced apart, wing, or plate, members, which define a generally Y- shaped guide channel through the slider body, but which can be practically any type, or configuration known in the art are mounted side-by-side astraddle the upper edge of a thin elongate strip 10 of material. Each slider should be easily removable, e.g. by finger pressure, from the strip 10 but, at the same time the sliders must not fall off the strip when the latter is inclined, or suspended, vertically. To meet these requirements the strip 10 can be made, e.g. of paper, plastics, rubber, etc., so that the sliders may resiliently engage thereon. Alternatively, interengageable projections and depressions may be formed on the support member 10 and the sliders 11. Other easily-releasable fastening means may comprise magnetic attraction, tackifier, or coagulator. When the sliders are made of plastics material their inherent resiliency may be used to fit them snugly on to the support members 10. A support member 10a, Figs. 3, 4, comprises a slender rod, e.g. a wire of synthetic resin monofilament. If the support member 10 is made of flexible, or pliant material it can be wound upon a reel 13, with sliders fitted thereto, Fig. 5. A support member, made of flexible material, may be folded in zigzag fashion and be accommodated in an opentop receptacle (16), Fig. 6, (not shown). If the support member is made of relatively rigid material then equal lengths thereof, each carrying a rows of sliders, can be stacked in a receptacle 17, Fig. 7, having a pair of openings 18 formed through the opposite side walls, at least one of the openings having a size sufficient to allow each support member 10 carrying a row of sliders 11, to pass therethrough when pushed by a rod 19 thrust into the other opening 18.
