Abstract

1430336 Portable containers; venting containers HERCULES Inc 20 May 1974 [22 June 1973] 22360/74 Headings B8D and B8V [Also in Divisions B4-B5 and F1] A blow-moulded container includes a preformed member comprising a fluid transfer passage having an inlet opening into the container and an outlet opening to the exterior for communication therebetween and having a flat portion surrounding the passage embedded in the container wall or the exterior surface thereof, the web formed over the inlet during blow-moulding being ruptured by the blowmoulding pressure. The preformed member of Figs. 1, 2 (not shown) is a pump assembly (10). The product may alternatively be a container 60, Fig. 7, with a breather tube 62, a squeeze bottle 65, Fig. 8, having a discharge tube 66 or a carboy 70, Fig. 9, having a valve assembly 72 and a pouring spout 74.
