Abstract

1430292 Vasectomy devices INVESTORS IN VENTURES INC 24 April 1973 19474/73 Heading A5R A device adapted to be mounted in a body cavity to control the flow of fluid therethrough comprises an inlet 26 and outlet 28 and a control means 40 movable to establish fluid flow through the device via one of a pair of passages 42, 44 formed in the control means one of the passages containing means for modifying the constituents of the body fluid. The device is used in a vasectomy and is inserted in the vasdeferens, gold wire 32, 34 being wound round the outside of the device to promote tissue ingrowth, The passage 44 is V- shaped and contains a spermicide e.g. a copper lining 46. To reverse the vasectomy the control means is moved by means of stem 30 to bring passage 42 into alignment with the inlet and outlet.
