Abstract

1430232 False floors SIKORA Ltd 13 Feb 1973 [25 Feb 1972] 8754/72 Heading E1W A false floor panel comprises a closed frame formed by members 10 having an upright peripheral flange and an inwardly directed flange supporting a plate 13. An edging strip 16 is held in position around the edge of the panel by its engagement between the frame and the plate and extends above the upper edge of the upright flange. The frame may be of rolled steel and the inwardly directed flange may be nearer to one edge of the upright flange so that alternative thicknesses of plate 13 may be accommodated. Alternatively the frame may be formed of simple angle section bars with one flange adjacent the side edge of the plate. The plate 13 may be of wood particle board with a metal backing plate bonded to its lower surface and covered with carpet or plastics.
