Abstract
1429999 Article dispensers UNLIMITED INVESTED CORP 23 May 1973 24701/73 Heading A4T A vending machine, e.g. for cigarette packets, of the type in which the leading article of a stack is fed towards and abuts a supporting surface to lie in the path of an ejector, is adapted for dispensing thinner articles than those for which it was designed, by the addition of an attachment providing a further supporting surface generally spaced for the original surface a distance corresponding to the difference in thickness between the original and thinner articles. In one form, Figs. 4, 6 a concertina leaf-spring 31 secured at one end to the ejector 15 and at the other to a bracket 36, receives an article T on its upper edges as the ejector is withdrawn. A plate 40 may be adjusted to vary the dispensing opening 23. The upper edges of the spring may be shaped to locate cylindrical articles C, Fig. 6b. In another form, Fig. 10, the ejector 20a is apertured to slide on fixed rods 45, the upper surfaces of the rods supporting the leading article T as the ejector is withdrawn.
